Electronic Arts has, according to an article in the Wall Street Journal, agreed to purchase VG Holdings, the parent company of video game companies BioWare and Pandemic Studios.
The two manufacturers making up VG Holdings have ten upcoming games in the pipeline, including Mercenaries 2 and Mass Effect. Among BioWare’s already-released titles are the Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights series as well as a number of Star Wars titles; Pandemic Studios is also responsible for a handful of Star Wars games in addition to Mercenaries and Destroy All Humans. This is the largest deal in EA’s 25-year history.
We will see if an new titles make it to the 360 or this move was just for their pc market share.
